Project description

In the heart of Padova, in the Cortile Pensile of Palazzo Moroni, "Stories of Colours (Not Superpowers)" comes to life — an artistic and social project that transforms photography into a tool for authentic storytelling.

The exhibition grows out of the experience of the Stranger Teens, a group of adolescents from the Paediatric Haematology and Oncology unit in Padova who share both a journey of care and a space for connection, expression, and growth. Through the visual language of photography, the project offers a real and profound perspective on lives that seek not heroism, but normality, connection, and presence.

In this context, Get A Look contributed to the project through photography and video production, accompanying the young participants through a day built around colour, personal expression, and sharing. Every shot and every frame grew out of an immersive experience, in which each gesture, each shade, and each emotion became part of a collective narrative.

The result is an intense visual story, one that goes beyond documentation to become a universal message. The images and video convey energy, fragility, and authenticity — giving voice to real stories through an immediate and engaging visual language.

"We are not superheroes. We don't want to be." This is where the power of the project lies: in its ability to tell reality without filters, through images that speak of life, relationships, and identity.
